Northern Pacific Railroad Tall CC Armspear Lantern

A very fine example of an early Northern Pacific Railroad Armspear lantern. The frame of this lantern is marked "NPRy" on the shoulder of the lid, and Armspear Mfg. Co., New York, with patent dates on the very top (see picture). The frame has been cleaned then hand polished, and shows a lot of original tin. There are a few minor dings on the very top of the lid. The 5 3/8" clear cast "NPRR" globe in the rounded edge rectangular panel is in excellent to near mint condition, with a few factory air bubbles and a very few tiny flea bites on the inside of the upper & lower rim that are very hard to see (see pictures). It has the Corning "Cnx" embossed mark, with "Safety Always" below on the back side. The twist off pot & burner are in excellent condition, and will still hold oil. This really fine Northern Pacific Lantern is perfect for your collection!

1913 Northern Pacific Railroad Tall Clear Cast Armspear Lantern

The frame has been cleaned then hand polished, and has lots of original tin.

The clear cast 5 3/8" Corning globe is embossed in the rounded edge rectangular panel "NPRR" on one side, and "Safety Always" with the Corning logo "Cnx" on the other side.

Top view of the frames lid is embossed "Armspear Man'F'G. Co." with the patent dates. The shoulder is embossed "N.P.R.Y.", and there are a few dings on the top.

Original twist off pot and burner will still hold oil, and are in excellent condition.

The globes top edge is in excellent to near mint condition with only a few flea bites.

The globes bottom edge is in excellent condition with only one very small flat inside rim chip (center top).

The frame measures 10 1/2" tall. This is a very nice lantern you can proudly display!
